Our interview with Italian TV Rai

Today we had the pleasure of presenting the Extinguished Countries project and the forthcoming guide on the Habsburg Empire on TGR RAI Bolzano television.

TGR is the regional information service of RAI, the Italian public television. Bolzano, in the far north of Italy, is a particularly interesting city within the project on the Habsburg Empire. The city, like the rest of the Trentino-Alto Adige (Süd Tirol) region, was ruled by the Habsburgs for many centuries before becoming part of Italy after the First World War.

Giovanni Vale

Giovanni Vale was born in Gemona del Friuli (Italy) in 1987. He graduated in International and Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Trieste, studied Arabic in Morocco and France, and began working as a journalist in Paris before moving to Zagreb in 2014. Since then, he has been covering the former Yugoslavia for various European media outlets such as RSI, La Croix and OBCT. He founded Extinguished Countries in 2020.
